Let’s learn where to place the notes when there’s an F-clef on the staff. We should review the musical notes but this time we will start on F.

Exercise 1

Read aloud.

Which is the note after F?

Exactly, it is G.

Remember: When the F-clef is on the staff, the note on the fourth line is F. Consequently, if F is on the fourth line, then G is above the fourth line or, we could say, on the fourth space. It will make more sense once you look at the example.

Great, let’s learn where to place the other notes.

Let’s review the notes before we learn the notes beneath the fourth line.

Exercise 2

Read aloud.

Fantastic! There are many notes beneath the fourth line, let’s find out where to place them.
