The notes above and below the treble staff

We learned that we can place notes on the lines and in the spaces of the staff.

We can write notes above and below the staff.

Example 1

Notas debajo de la primera línea y encima de la quinta línea en clave sol.
Notes below the first line and above the fifth line.

Last example shows a note below the first line and a note above the fiftht..

Ledger lines

Sometimes we don’t have enough lines and spaces to place the notes, but we can draw extra lines above and below the staff. We know these extra lines by the name of ledger lines.

Let’s see which note is placed on the first ledger line above the treble staff.

Consequently, the note on the first ledger line is A. It works exactly as the lines and spaces of the staff.
